I thought this was the best of the three books. Which is odd because usually in a series the first is always best. I did take exception with the pretense that we must maintain a certain level of perfection to be acceptable to God. That is law based and nothing could be further from the truth. We accept the righteousness of Jesus Christ and it is not, ever by our works or perceived sinless life that places us in a position to partake of the gifts of the Spirit. Those are freely given as God chooses for service and not because of our goodness, which there is none aside from our positional standing IN CHRIST we we are perpetually and continually redeemed regardless of our actions. Third in the series and, in my opinion, the best written. Good story line with intrigue. Good ending. Safe for most older teens and all adults to read.
This is the last in the 3 book series by Dan Cal Abrese. It deals with spirituality and how the dark forces affect us whether we know it or not. I think most people would be enlightened by reading this book.
Such a good series! I liked the author's take on spiritual warfare and that his Christian warriors were very flawed individuals. Shows how God will use anyone in a spectacular way as long as there is repentance. God's mercy prevails.
Dark Matter was a thriller and it kept my attention so that I read the whole thing in just a short time. It is the third part of a story set in a Michigan city. The author knew the city well as he had lived there. I would recommend it to anyone who likes this kind of story.
As i said in the other comments, love this series, Jesus is Lord and is the hero. Yeah!! The characters are amazing and I love all three. I don't doubt that the spirital world is as imagined in these books, and as I said before, i only had a prob with the over the top language used. I know its how some people communicate, it was just hard to read and not pick it up again. Tough stuff to quit. Thank you Mr. Calabrese, good stuff. Maybe less bad words next time.
Loved all of the trilogy! I hope that the subject matter will awaken people to the "lateness" of the hour in God's timetable of events for the human race! He does have promises He will keep, as He has proved over and over in Scripture. Dan nudged me to look at the signs of the times and the things taking place that have been foretold. This may be fiction, but it is based in reality!
The re-write that Dan did made the series readable with smooth flow. I had read a short bit of the first release and my mind stopped so many times with the more graphic nature of the language that I put it down.
I love Christian fiction where through trials and troubles, people see how God really works and that He wins in the end, AND I believe it is good to show small intermediary 'defeats' to mirror real life. Dan did a good job of that balancing act.
My judge of a good series is when I want, at the end of the series, to meet the characters in person and get to know them face to face. That happened with The Royal Oak Series!
